Through dance, stories can be told and beliefs and emotions can be conveyed. Dance can also be used to widen a child's vocabulary as they come in contact with new words and ideas.

In Tokyo, Japan I started the Inside Out Project from May--and for a long time, it was like pulling teeth, banging a pan, twisting arms--but we've got some good things going. Guess what? I'm from Toronto!! It is AMAZING news to hear just now that Toronto has the HUGEST 400 portrait project going in the world!! I'm so proud to be from Toronto!! And I wish more Toronto spirit was with me in Japan! (Yes, I'm plugging Tokyo), but I just totally wrote about you: https://www.facebook.com/Insid... (and I just flew back to Japan on Sept 18th---how did I miss this giant project?!) Am in love with the blooming street art in Toronto--never was like that the 20 years I grew up there. Great things!
